COACH JOSE SOLIS

Jose's most notable coaching achievements is his work with Wilver Hernandez, whom he began training when Wilver was just 8 years old. Under Jose's guidance, Wilver went on to win an impressive nine national tournaments, including four Ringside championships, two National Silver Gloves titles, two USA National Qualifiers, and one National Junior Golden Gloves championship. The duo's success was halted only briefly when COVID-19 took a year from them, but they returned to the ring stronger than ever, with Wilver turning pro at 18 and amassing an undefeated record of 8-0. But Jose's impact on boxing goes beyond just one fighter. He has also taken Kevin Soltero under his wing, and the young boxer has quickly followed in Wilver's footsteps, boasting a professional record of 2-0. Jose's dedication to his craft and his fighters is evident in the way he approaches each session with intensity and enthusiasm. At home, Jose is supported by his loving wife and 2-year-old son, who have been his rock throughout his upbringing journey.
